Finely crafted flags and banners fabricated by Main Street Banner have been used by a host of nationally recognized non-profit organizations for fundraisers, including United Way, American Heart Association, and Girls Inc. for their fundraising events and raffles.
Our Crafted Gala Highlights
We have designed, crafted gala decorations for: the Governor’s Plaza, Salt Lake City, Utah; Monterey Bay Aquarium, California; University of California campuses throughout the system; San Francisco Cow Palace; Native Alaska Village Celebration Gala, noted by the North American Vexillological Association for their beauty and craftsmanship.
For major clients such as the University of LaVerne, we have created mixed media gala event decorations, featuring indoor and outdoor specialties:
Fabric wall panels, blossoms of paper flowers, sculpted giant laser-cut foam letters spelling out their university name and the fundraiser gala year. We have designed and erected truss proscenium stages; we have adorned entrance ways with elegant swaths of shimmering draperies; we have hung voluminous layers of sheer organza walls highlighted with dazzling cascades of twinkling lights.
Fundraising Theme ‘Wizard of Oz’
For their latest University gala event, LaVerne celebrated both graduates and their retiring University president in a “Wizard of Oz” themed fundraising extravaganza. Main Street Banner created a citiscape of sparkling green sequins with explosions of verdant fabrics on the main stage, alongside giant printed murals and big-screen televisions. Some other custom decor creations include giant lollipops, and fields of wild poppy flower cut-outs in exaggerated sizes.
In addition to United States flags and patriotic buntings, one of the most popular uses of street banners since COVID times has been for high school graduations and school recognition: each student, or athlete, has his or her senior photo emblazoned on an avenue gala celebration banner.
Graduation banners are a proven success for fundraising, as well. Local business sponsor logos or names can be added to the banners. After their public appearance on the city streets, the banners can be presented to the student families. Avenue banners promote school recognition, along with civic participation and community pride.
